About Maria:

Maria, originally from Mexico, has been married for 26 years. Witnessing the injustice and ignorance surrounding sexual harassment in the cleaning industry motivated Maria to become an instructor at Ya Basta. Her mindset has transformed to include more empathy for people, increased respect among her coworkers, and better listening skills. She takes pleasure in educating janitors about their rights, especially regarding night shift safety.

Her goal is to continue growing and learning to help others.

Maria Nieto completed a 40-hour training course to become a certified professional instructor in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abusive Behavior in the Cleaning Industry.
