About Carmen:
Carmen has been inspired to improve the lives of numerous workers because she firmly believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to have a better life, ensuring their well-being and that of their families. Over the past three years, she has worked morning and afternoon shifts, witnessing how her coworkers experience sexual harassment due to their physical appearance. This reflects the existence of so much injustice and ignorance in the cleaning industry. This situation is what led her to join the Center Ya Basta.
Her challenge is to ensure that all cleaning workers know their rights and receive training in the prevention of harassment and abusive behavior so that they can report it. Her main goal is to continue learning and improving her skills in order to provide training and support to an even larger number of workers.
Carmen Sandoval completed a 40-hour training course to become a certified professional instructor in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abusive Behavior in the Cleaning Industry.
