About Felipa:

I was motivated to join the Ya Basta Center because I have seen how there is sexual harassment, psychological abuse, and physical abuse in workplaces. The lack of awareness among cleaning workers about what sexual harassment really is in the workplace, as well as their rights, is a major obstacle to solving this problem. That’s why I became interested in Ya Basta’s training, to educate myself and be able to teach my colleagues to speak up and stop sexual abuse.

It has changed my life in the aspect that now I relate respectfully to my colleagues, taking care of my language in work areas and rest areas. That’s what I learned, and I want to share it with more people because it truly brings about a change in the work environment.

Felipa Torres completed a 40-hour training course to become a certified professional instructor in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abusive Behavior in the Cleaning Industry.
