About Flor:
Originally from Veracruz, Mexico, has a family background where her mother was a clothing designer, and her father, a survivor of the 1947 war, served as a sailor. Flor has two siblings and numerous nieces and nephews who continue to reside in Mexico. She is the sole member of her family who immigrated to the United States.
Motivated by a desire to identify various forms of assault and harassment in the workplace, Flor chose to become an instructor. Her primary goal is to break the silence surrounding workplace harassment and create an environment where individuals feel free to speak out against injustices in the industry. Having personally experienced harassment when she initially entered the workforce, Flor yearns for the opportunity to address these issues openly with her peers. She envisions a future where individuals no longer fear speaking up, regardless of their background, race, gender, or identity.
As an instructor, Flor aspires to be a source of information for those hesitant to speak out, fostering empowerment and knowledge within the industry. She believes in the possibility of positive change and even envisions this transformation spreading to her home country. Flor remains hopeful that with increased awareness and empowerment, individuals can overcome the fear of speaking out against harassment.
Flor Rodriguez completed a 40 hour training course to become a certified professional instructor in the prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abusive behavior in the cleaning industry.
