About Natalia:
One of Natalia’s most notable qualities is her understanding of the importance of engaging in conversations with people, listening to their problems, and trying to help them by understanding the reasons behind why things happen. It is precisely for this reason that she joined the Ya Basta Center as an instructor, to educate herself about workplace sexual harassment and abusive behavior and be able to educate others through training programs on what constitutes abuse, workers’ rights, and employer responsibilities. Being part of the Ya Basta Center has profoundly transformed my way of thinking. I used to make jokes, but now, as an instructor, I recognize that it is inappropriate to engage in that type of humor. Awareness of the harmful effects of harassment and offensive jokes has led me to reconsider my behavior at work. The greatest reward for me is seeing how my colleagues no longer feel intimidated and learn to defend themselves using the information from the training and the additional resources we provide.
Natalia Rodriguez completed a 40-hour training course to become a certified professional instructor in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abusive Behavior in the Cleaning Industry.
