About Rosa:
Mother of 2 children, Rosa is divorced, which has been especially challenging because her children had to stay alone when they were young while she worked the night shift. Since 2016, she started hearing more frequent reports of sexual harassment in the cleaning industry, which motivated her to become an instructor at the Ya Basta center to combat workplace harassment and sexual abuse. Knowledge and education are the best guidance we can offer to our coworkers, as the majority are women and mothers like me. Speaking up makes a difference, and her goal is to continue with the trainings and ensure that workspaces are safe and free from sexual harassment. Another personal goal of hers is to complete her GED to enroll in college and study political science.
Rosa Lopez completed a 40-hour training course to become a certified professional instructor in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abusive Behavior in the Cleaning Industry.
