About Liliana:

Liliana is the proud mother of 4 children and grandmother to 3 grandchildren. Liliana’s family includes high school graduates and 2 daughters in the medical field.

 As a domestic violence survivor Liliana’s path to advocacy started as an active member of the community offering support to other domestic violence survivors . Now as an instructor of the Ya Basta Center she continues to advocate and empower her peers.

Liliana has expanded her advocacy reach by conducting  sexual harassment traings for her peers including workplaces where her own children are employed thus demonstrating her commitment to creating safer workplaces for janitors but also, the next generation. As a dedicated mother, her children’s academic achievements stand as a testament to her dedication as a parent and their continued support has been instrumental in her motivation to serve as an example to her grandchildren that anything is possible.

Liliana Macias completed a 40-hour training course to become a certified professional instructor in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abusive Behavior in the Cleaning Industry.
