About Orquidea:

Orquidea is the fourth of six children, raised by parents whose lessons became the foundation of everything she is today.  However, it was her mother who left the most indelible mark on her soul as a woman of extraordinary strength and grace whose example of what it means to be truly empowered continues to guide her, even after her passing.

 At 52, Orquidea carries her mother’s spirit and honors the woman who showed her that a life lived with integrity and purpose is a life well lived. Though her dream has always been fashion and design, she walks her chosen path without any regrets. Her commitment to justice led her to pursue higher education and ultimately to the Ya Basta center, where she found her voice and helped others find theirs. Today, she stands firm in her commitment to empower others to break their silence.

Orquidea Sandoval completed a 40-hour training course to become a certified professional instructor in the Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abusive Behavior in the Cleaning Industry.
